Guest Down to earth Swede Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Have updated to the latest official ROm and then LCR 1.7.2 plus restored with titanium backup. Now I have some problems concerning the SD card. It first happened when I started Google listen where it said that there was no SD card. Checked if I could access it with ES file explorer and I could. Later on it stopped working. And in settings no sd card could be found. Restarted the phone and now I could once again see the files in ES file explorer and also start one file (jus to see that the file list wasn't in the cache) and it worked. But at the same time settings still said that there was no SD card. And I got the same message in google listen that "Your phone does not have an SD card inserted". Seemed to be a system message (not generated inside google listen). I know that the card worked since I could access it from ES file explorer. but connecting via USB to my PC doesn't activate the thing that lets me mount the sd card, it just goes into charging. What the hell could be wrong with this?

Guest Down to earth Swede Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) That is a bug in 1.7 for wich in need a confirmation fix. Could you try this adb shell umount /sdcard adb shell killall vold I will send you a patch by mp. Tell me if it fix please Okay. The commands worked. Gonna apply the patch now... Edit : Well, it worked exactly one time when it booted normally. Then the phone was stuck in a loop where it booted up, reached the homescreen, and then rebooted itself for a couple of times. And now there is a message in the notification bar that it is "preparing SD card" and "Checking for errors". Has done so for several minutes now. And it is not working at all with the SD card at the moment (not surprising since it still says it is preparing it). Strange that it worked just the one time after I flashed in the new patch... EDIT 2: Now it works. I had the mobile networks settings set to "disable data connection", when I enabled it the sd card mounted instantly. Strange thing that the mobile networks settings affected the sd card! Edited July 21, 2010 by Down to earth Swede
Guest Down to earth Swede Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) I tried to unmount the sd-card again with the commands you supplied, but can't do them since the debug mode doesn't seem to work. It is set to be in debug mode in the settings for applications but there is nothing that shows up about it when I hook it to the pc.... Should I reflash now? I'm not sure if I will go on with the LCR since there is another as bad error creeping up with google maps showing a message about it force closing all the time (even though I haven't started it at all). It leaves a message windows which don't let me do anything until I close it. Really, really annoying making it almost unusable at this point. Seen another person with the same problem that said that this problem disappeared when updating to the latest (official ROM), but for me it started to rear it's ugly head again. EDIT : As I said in the post above, now it works. I had the mobile networks settings set to "disable data connection", when I enabled it the sd card mounted instantly. Strange thing that the mobile networks settings affected the sd card! But now its possbile that the annoying maps problem still is there. Gonna try it out for a while...
