Guest xaueious Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I see the kernel source matching up to this commit in codeaurora: https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/quic/le/?...bf3d6db0d974505 That means that 720p support has already been implemented in the kernel. What is needed to get 720p recording working?

Guest xaueious Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Just wondering if this was a quick fix, but I guess not... Not a programmer, but I guess the current camera sensor driver is in board-qsd8x50.c, but we want it to use s5k3e2fx.c instead. Modifications to how the codec handles things, and then finally software support in the form of fixed libs and Camera apks...

I'll just say: lllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllll llllllllllllllll s5k3e2fx is a camera sensor, ours is mt9p012, how the hell do you want to use s5k3e2fx ?
Guest xaueious Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) Because I have no idea how this works. Thanks for the heads up though. Like I said, I don't know... For s5k3e2fx, I was just looking at commits for the Nexus One. Hey it's worth a try no :( Honestly I would like to figure this stuff out if it doesn't take me years to do... But I guess it requires actual understanding of how this works, which I don't have. Never did programming beyond high school. Edited July 22, 2010 by xaueious
