1.6 to 2.2 -> Could the Streak, streak ahead in a few weeks

I have just read that 2.2 (Froyo) is only running on 3.3% of Androids out there.

If, hopefully, we get 2.2 in September(ish) is the Streak likely to streak ahead of the competition?

As I am new to Android, I am happy with the 1.6. I suppose I don't miss what I haven't had.

I am thinking that Dell surely are well on there way to knock out 2.2 on their 'flagship' and by doing so will steal the march on others which are on 2.1.

What do you guys and gals think?

we will get it eventually... even if its a hacked together version from the guys on here... but once we get that itll be improved...

I think this is quite unlikely as phones with a larger user base are gonna be done first, unless we have our own Dell Streak Android enthusiast :(
