can I implement launcher pro preferences in a custom rom?

Hi there,

I am working on a pulse mini custom rom. I've nearly finished the work on my 4th release, but there's one thing I'd like to realize:

Is it possible to include the preferences from the launcher (launcher pro) (which are stored in /data/data) to the rom in a way that the homescreens, widgets and so on are placed as I like it?

I already tried just copying the preference settings from /data/data into the custom rom but it looks like as they get overwritten at some point.

Any idea? Maybe trough changes on the apk file?
