Guest Pade Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Here are shortcut links to show all acer offical roms no matter what country you are in all 2.1 roms for acer liquid all 1.6 offical roms all Liquid E offical roms (nothing released so far except kernel source) Well, not if you live in Belgium and need CUS2 (2.1) :( Hope they will publish it soon (eg. today). Not sure why Belgians need a separate ROM, though...
Guest au_stevo Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Which one do I need in Australia for the Acer S100 (none acer E)? Thanks
Guest Vishal Arya Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Which one do I need in Australia for the Acer S100 (none acer E)? Thanks for S100 it will be 1.100.09.AAP.GEN2 (Android 2.1) and 2.000.13.AAP.GEN2 (Android 1.6)
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 Which one do I need in Australia for the Acer S100 (none acer E)? Thanks Settings-->About Phone-->Device Information. It is listed under Product SKU
Guest K.L.Maxwell Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 What is the meaning of all the codes? (emea, aap, gen, cus car, fet, csl...)
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 What is the meaning of all the codes? (emea, aap, gen, cus car, fet, csl...) EMEA and AAP mean Europe/Middle East/Australia and Asia/Asia Pacific. The other codes are for different providers within the regions AFAIK.
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Now all we need is a directory of custom ROMs. I will be working on one tonight for AndroidForums.com, will post it here as well.
Guest K.L.Maxwell Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 EMEA and AAP mean Europe/Middle East/Australia and Asia/Asia Pacific. The other codes are for different providers within the regions AFAIK. So in theory I should pick an EMEA rom... But which one? 1.100.13 or 1.100.09? Right now I'm running 1.100.39, but it has that bug related to storage getting eaten up... What's the best solution? 1.100.09,1.100.13 or 1.100.39 with bugfix?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 I am guessing 1.100.09 as it is GEN1 like 1.100.39.

What are the chances that the first time I see this thread, there's a release in there. Name: 2.100.07.EMEA.GEN1 Size: 132.1 MB Date: 2010/08/30 You are advised to upgrade to the latest operating system. This upgrade does the following: 1. Adds support for importing vcards from email or Bluetooth. 2. Adds a new feature: The option of automatically loading SIM contacts after booting. 3. Fixes the problem where the scheduled alarm is disabled after the user stops the alarm after snoozing. 4. Fixes the problem where the device sometimes can't wake up. Relink to page Anyone know if it actually fixes any bugs, and if it's rootable yet, as I'll likely update to it based purely on the last point it claims to fix, my device can take ages to wake up at times. Thanks

Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Brins, did you download it? If so, post a mirror.
Guest blackrod Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 This is interesting! Try to play with it on my Liquid sometime, see if it has newer radio. Actually it has. Radio version: 04.04.05
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Did it work on Liquid A1? Or do you have Liquid E?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 And have you installed MalezRecovery onto this?
Guest blackrod Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Did it work on Liquid A1? Or do you have Liquid E? Normal Liquid. Havent tried malez recovery yet.
Guest LazerRanger Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Hi guys, I'm sending back my Liquid to be replaced tomorrow so was wondering which one was for the UK standard Acer Liquid as I don't want any complications in my replacement being sent to me. Thank for your time, I'm attempting to look myself but got slightly confused :s.

You should see something which says EMEA.XXXX. The appropriate update package will have that same same SKU.
