Guest Willz Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Okay, this is really beginning to tick me off now. It mostly happens when I'm writing a text, but often happens on the menu or when I'm pressing something in the dock. But when I'm writing a text ,it'll spaz out and click on a letter I didn't want clicking on, and end up clicking on loads or completely going werid. It's hard to describe, but it's a real pain in the ass, and I wondered if anyone had a similar problem? I'm not sure if it has anything to do with HTC_IME keyboard I'm using, or what..
Guest meinnit Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 I had this problem whilst my phone was on charge using a 1000mAh charger from eBay. It only happened when the phone was actually on charge and I used the phone at the same time.
Guest Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 I find this happens if my hands are slightly damp or sweaty... You hit one letter but another one on the screen lights up above or below where you touched. Try washing your hands and then dabbing them dry and see if the same occurs for you. Usually a quick rub with a hand towel and problem solved :(
Guest Willz Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I don't think that's it. It just happened again and made me want to throw my phone into the wall. Seriously. :(

Seriously. :P This is likely to be related to some electrical interference. The best example for that is the cheep eBay charger. It does not flatten the charging current properly, thus screwing up the phone - internal reference voltage. The touchscreen controller just compares the voltage / current it gets from the screen with the internal reference voltage, which is messed up because of the electrical interference. So you touchscreen will just go crazy and will fire input events anywhere but on the actual point you clicked onto =/ Why this happens when you hold your Pulse in the hand is another question. Do you have any strong transmitters in your neighbourhood? Or did you maybe tune your microwave to run with an opened door? This could all be possible reasons. Although I would be really concerned if there was a transmitter in my neighbourhood that's strong enough to mess up the reference voltage in my mobile :( :( Best regards, BB

You should measure the output voltage, because un-stable and un-regulated voltage could cause problems... Not so much for older analog devices as much as for modern digital ones Edited July 29, 2010 by Fusion0306

Guest Simon O Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I've only had this issue a couple of times and the phone was being charged both times. I don't know if it's a coincidence or now.
