Guest pawel.mrk Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Hi I installed ROM manager and can't get it to work. I can use it to partition a SD card, fix permissions etc but when I trying to install any ROM, phone is rebooting and then showing a black background with phone and red question mark at the center and after next few seconds phone automatically rebooting. It doesn't matter I choose install rom from SD or reboot into recovery - same effect. Was trying many times with no results. I have installed latest clockwork recovery. For now I using fake-flash but ROM manager making it just easier... Is any chance to fix it?

Is any chance to fix it? did you get a popup after with choices of what went wrong? i did. if i chose to do something in rom manager, it would still happen (backup, flash a new rom), if i rebooted manually (holding down vol -)
Guest pawel.mrk Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Funny thing. I was playing with this today and it started to work as it should after xx try :( What I did is hold 'volume -' when phone restarted and green htc logo appeared on white background (earlier I choose Restart to Restore in ROM manager). From that time app is working just fine :(
Guest BlackWhite Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 if you use unrevoked3 recovery flash tool to root your device you can not use ROM manager any more.
Guest pawel.mrk Posted July 25, 2010 Report Posted July 25, 2010 No I didn't, I used Paul's method from sticky topic.

I did not use unrevoked method to root, I did eventually get it working by flashing a fresh copy of pinky and starting again the phone booted and I partitioned with rom manager that way. Thanks for your time guys!
Guest Matty Dee Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 if you use unrevoked3 recovery flash tool to root your device you can not use ROM manager any more. Why? I flashed a recovery via unrevoked3 and rom manager and can use both just fine?
