Guest AnDroidNooB Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Guys i couldn't find a post on this so i thought i'd just make a thread because me myself, i don't know how to do it. so could someone please explain in a noobified manner the best way in which to move the dalvik cache 2 sd, and in doing so frees up internal memory on the u8220 device thus potentially reducing the non recieving of text messages. i have an 8gb micro SD so what do i do? thanks in advance

The problem occurs when the device us struggling tovkeep its head above water due to lack of RAM, not internal memory. If anything moving the cache will increase the chance of losing messages as it is just another thing to hang / crash etc.

These and other a2sd commands are on page 55 of the FLB mod thread. You should apparently no longer use the recovery a2sd so i have been doing everything using the commands on page 55 in terminal emulator, not sure if its correct but it has been working for me.
