Can an owner of a streak, try Swiftkey Beta ( its in marketplace)? Perhaps post a few screenshots or videos and your thoughts on usability in both portrait and landscape?

With my AT&T fuze its the best keyboard I have used, although my screen is tiny.

Many Thanks

Typing with it now, like it! Could be a permanent addition. Thanks for the head up.

I don't tend to type portrait with any of the keyboards since landscape is so good, but this seems as good as any other keyboard i have tried in portrait.

What seems to be so good with this keyboard is the quality and speed of the predicto.

Cant take any pics but can confirm that in landscape the keyboard takes up half the screen, of which one quarter is the predictive text line.

Nice.

The best thing is the predict text learns your individual language and suggest words based on how you speak... By far the best..

Now back to the streak :( Is the keyboard easier to use over the stock dell ? Less stretching of right thumb?

Does Swift take over too much of the screen?

I must speak differently all the time because even after a whole week of using it regularly it doesnt often suggest the word I actually want to use. I'll give it another week but if it doesnt improve im going back to swype.

the layout etc is good though

Typing for the first time with it now, in portrait the size is fine, as the box your typing into becomes the entire screen, rather than typing whilst seeing the website. As with that I have some annoyance when trying to scroll downwards.

Also having a centered keyboard is a lot better. Just need to turn off vibrate with key presses. Offputting.

You can turn off the "haptic feedback" via the settings menu.

Using it now after using swype for a while, i like it. I think in landscape mode the keys could be a little bigger perhaps bolder even might be enough.
