set install location (force apps to sd)

On the devillian rom theres an icon/app called set install location! When clicked it allows you to leave the system to decide where to install, install to memory or sd. It forces any app to sd when external option selected even apps not yet supported by froyos app2sd. It doesnt put all data to sd unlike app2sd but most. Question is is this included with all custom froyo roms, modacos r5? Just dont want to partition sd for app2sd, and using set install location no partition is needed.
