Guest roisagi Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 am using JE2 ROM. when receiving an SMS, the sender's number appears with the international prefix: +39123456789 my contacts are stored in a "regular" format: john 123456789 when receiving an SMS - the device does not recognize the numbers with the international format: if i receive an SMS from john, the device will not recognize him, but will rather note that an SMS was received from +39123456789 anyone knows what needs to be done so the device will recognize all numbers?

I've been working on this problem, but haven't found a way to fix it yet. When I send a text message to someone from the 'Phonebook', it uses 'Person's name +31612345678'. But when I reply a message from someone, it only shows 'Person's name'.

Guest new2city Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I make it an habit of storing my contacts with the international format, so no issues.

Guest Klimto Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 yes, but device is supposed to recognize also international format. isn't there a feature or option in contacts to reslove this? Just change it to international :( It's better anyway, in case you go on vacation out of country or something.
Guest new2city Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 if you can install SK tools, there is a settings in Tune up->Phone Edition->Call ID match-> which is set at 8. The description given for this is "Set the default number of trailing digits used for call ID matches" Does this have anything to do with this? I wonder..
