Guest arunachalam Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Dear friends, I found a solution for samsung kies connection.last two weeks struggled to connect my i9000 with samsung kies.Today I transfered all datas from internal storage to external sd card.then I removed sd card and connect thro card reader with my pc and copied all datas(Dont do CUT) to my pc,then again mount sd card in phone.goes application/settings/storage.........There I unmount intenal memory and formatted,next unmounted external memory and formatted.After this I connected my phone tp pc.The kies automaticaly opened and detected my phone.The sd card should fomatted thro phone only.Please try with this method and give feed back.

I have tried to connect with the home not in locked screen, before and after start Kies, but the PC never see my phone! I can only connect via USB mass storage. I haven't a SD card yet... My firmware is I9000XXJF5, I have tried with Windows 7 and Vista Edited July 27, 2010 by deedend

Guest Dan Mullen Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 A few tips that should lead to a successful Kies connection every time... 1. Make sure you are running the TouchWiz launcher. 2. In the SD settings screen, unmount the external SD card (if you have one). 3. If you are a user of the app SoundHound, delete the SoundHound directory from the internal SD card. It contains a number of cache files that have odd file extensions - these stop Kies form working. Cheers, Dan
