Guest Master_Axe Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Hey all, I have very little experience with the android platform, and I was hoping for some insight from more experienced users. The media player on the SGS won't recognize a great deal of artists from my music, whether i "export" using kies, or simply sync using WMP. Can this problem be evaded if I use a different media player, through the market? I ask, because I don't think this is a problem particular to me, and I can't imagine anyone not seriously bothered by this. Thanks, Franz
Guest XQC Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 You can try: - btunes (not free) - basically it's a clone of the iPhone music player - mixzing (free with ads) - doubletwist (free) - Instinctiv - best UI so far IMO, but lacks playlist feature (may come later)

It has a lock screen widget, an equalizer, and a "genius" player mode. Just my two cents :( -Trib
Guest XQC Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Just tried Instictiv - It does have playlist feature. Ok, should have made that point clearer: It doesn't support your own m3u playlists yet.

Guest Brantyr Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I second MixZing, it looks very nice and has nice features - Equalizer - Assumes the largest image in the folder is the album art - Nice fullscreen widget though I wish they had a 4x1 or 4x2 with album art, they only have 4x4 and 2x2 with art then 4x1 with just text. - Good interface Does anyone know if the lock screen widget work with the Galaxy S lockscreen? I'm tempted to upgrade but don't want to if it's only compatible with the stock lockscreen.
Guest miker71 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I like Lithium Player (paid app) because it can cross-fade between tracks (AFAIK the only player that does this) http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.haramitare.lithiumplayer but I'll check out those others too - I've yet to find the "perfect" player.
