If I had to guess, I'd say it might be the series of hardware tests accessible by dialing *#0*# (on GSM Vibrant anyways) which I found very handy.

Dos any one know is there is any way to calibrate accelerometer. Mine is off by 3 degrees in horizontal. And it is driving me knots. I had same problem with my NEXUS ONE and i had to sand it back.

They don't seem to test the speaker. I had to take my first one back to the shop because the speaker didn't work. If I turned up the volume to full I could hear the faintest sounds against a background of white noise. The replacement is fine though and installing JP2 right now.
