Guest Waspinator Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Has anyone thought about being a cyanogemod maintainer for the liquid community? I think it might be helpful if all the best android developers worked together to make a great rom and avoid repeated effort. I was thinking of Malez, Xian, or phhusson. If no one tries, I'll give it a shot, but I have zero experience with android and will probably fail horribly. Just food for thought, Rick

Guest Quipeace Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) It would be extremly interesting if someone voluntered to do this ! :D Thought I left a reply here, but it looks like it didn't come trough. Besides the vendor tree and a couple of libraries there really isn't much to maintain, I don't think there's any repeated effort, as most of the developers are in #acer-liquid working together. We don't want to mess with the code too much anyway, we still want to keep it CyanogenMod right? If with "maintaining" you mean releasing a fresh build every week or so, that should be doable, but as Xian1 is pretty active lately I don't think there's a need for that right now. Besides, I think getting AOSP to work properly has a higher priority now. Now I'm thinking of it, There are a couple of things I would like to change, like the scroll resistance in pretty much everything that scrolls. For instance, if you scroll down a webpage it keeps scrolling for quite a while, that can make it look choppy, having it slow down faster decreases that. The same goes for listviews. Is there anything you guys would like changed? Edited August 13, 2010 by Quipeace

Right now I on stock Acer 2.1. But I am certainly tempted to install CM6 for Liquid. BTW, I am sincerely gratefull, that there is development on the Liquid, and have, and will again, make a donation to active developers :D Sincerely MBK6
