Guest Down to earth Swede Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) I have a serious problem with google.android.apps.maps FC;s coming up all the time out of nowhere. I haven't used maps at all when it happens (it triggers "itself" in some way) and it comes up very often. It can happen in the middle of a game where I have to press OK so that the message goes away and then it may come back 5 seconds later. Very annoying, making it unusable in games at times. I have the latest .39 and LCR 1.72. Had the same problem with .05 and LCR 1.71 too.... The only way to stop it occuring is to turn off internet connections completelly, i.e no wifi or no 3G or 2G and that isn't really an option... Edited July 27, 2010 by Down to earth Swede

Guest petrosy Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I have the same issue. Have cleared the cache. Using LCR 1.8 Really annoying Disabling the WiFi when out of range of my configured Access Point solved this. Below is part of my syslog 07-28 11:41:06.651 E/AndroidRuntime( 1647): Uncaught handler: thread main exiting due to uncaught exception 07-28 11:41:06.661 E/AndroidRuntime( 1647): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start service com.google.googlenav.friend.android.LocationFriendService@30b48830 with Intent { cmp=com.google.android.apps.maps/com.google.googlenav.friend.android.LocationFriendService (has extras) }: java.lang.SecurityException: WifiService: Neither user 10035 nor current process has android.permission.CHANGE_WIFI_STATE.
