Guest ppeccin Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Is there a way to backup my PDA/PHONE/CSC ROM files? If not, does someone have the CSC file named I9000OXXJF5, or a link to a place I could get it? (is this one Western Europe as well?) I have aready found the other two, PDA: I9000XWJFB and PHONE: I9000XXJF5. But I cant find the CSC: I9000OXXJF5 anywhere... I want to be able to restore to these originals if I need to. Thank you, Paulo

Guest ppeccin Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I'm all confused. Why does everybody says "my firmware is" and state just ONE name, like JFB, if there are 3 different things/versions to consider? Like mine, which is PDA WXJFB and at the same time MODEM XXJF5. And there is also SCS. Mine is OXXJF5. Please, someone explain that to me. I still don't know if I should say I have JFB or JF5. Thanks, Paulo

That firmware they download might contain an older version of the csc or radio though etc. But basically they are referring to the "pda/phone" which is the main firmware. modem is the baseband/radio

Read ! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723596 Please, I really dont need this kind of help (our should I say non help) you're giving me. I already read a lot of this, including the one you pointed me, but still have some doubts. I always read a lot before asking. You didn't even understand my question. Really. No point trying to answer if you didn't spent the time trying to read and understand a question decently. For your second post, that was not too construtive! You should talk only about yourself. Dont say things like "people only help...". Each person is different. I'm not crying. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to post a question that to my understanding is perfectly acceptable and probably is a matter of some confusion to many people. You see? There is already a perfetct answer to my question in the post following yours! Kudos to that guy. Thank you anyway, Paulo Edited July 27, 2010 by ppeccin

That makes sense! So the PDA is the main firmware. I didn't know that. (I'm assuming you meant PDA/CODE is the main fw, and MODEM and CSC are secondary) Thank you very much!
