Guest le_lutin Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Its out! Link to XDA Developers thread ;-) Forgive my ignorance, but what would this give us that Paul's ROM's (stock and sense) currently don't?
Guest Diggedy Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Forgive my ignorance, but what would this give us that Paul's ROM's (stock and sense) currently don't? it will give you less if you like sense and htc stuff. It also doesnt include FM radio and last time I used it I couldnt use the led as a torch. These roms are for people who like total vanilla android software, they are fast and free of any bloat. It all comes down to personal preference really
Guest Jedipottsy Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Forgive my ignorance, but what would this give us that Paul's ROM's (stock and sense) currently don't? Forgive me if i am mistaken, but Paul's roms are based off releases from HTC, whereas cyanogen only compiles from the Android Open Source Project. It includes lots of hacks and tweaks and a custom kernel all compiled from source. It tends to produce a lean fast OS with lots of features without any of the HTC bloat code (sense etc), its pure Google. Edited July 27, 2010 by Jedipottsy
Guest robkgriffiths Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 IT also gives you a WI-FI proxy option which is sorely missed when in use on a corporate network if I am mistaken.
Guest Mr.r9 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 ....., its pure Google. But without the Google apps.
