Setting portrait wallpapers

Can it be done?

Because I remember back in the 1.7 days, I could always set a portrait wallpaper, and crop it as portrait just fine. But now I can only seem to set landscape ones and I have a bunch of nice portrait ones I'd like to crop, but can only do it landscape way.

If you're confused by that, I'll say it in dimensions. How can I set a 460x600 wallpaper in portrait rather than landscape? Because I can only set 640x480 wallpapers perfectly. :/

you can make 642x962 frames for your wallpaper files

before you add frames you should consider resizing your wallpaper no more that 320x480, so that the screen would display the whore's whole picture

let's say the wallpaper you're editing looks like this char:

you shall create a background,

afterward, you paste a wallpaper of your choice over it, so that the new picture would be like this:

□+囗=回
