My problem is that i've noticed that in the 2.1 Hungarian Update i've been having some issues recieveing some SMS messages. I know i've not been recieveing them because my girlfriend has told me. I restarted my phone just in case and also noticed that it had sent a random text to her which is one i previously sent. I'm baffled on why this is. I've read around and have heard that other people are having the same issue and there has been no real confirmation on what is causing this or a cure. It's really annoying me now as i frequently text her. Please enlighten me on why this is and if possible how it could be fixed. -Tom (UK Pulse)

The actual status seems to be that any rom with tmobile kernel suffers this problem, and that users with TRE rom and FLB TRE version didnt report it. so you can use that edition. (it seemed to be a memory problem, but with TMob kernel and very drastic memory tweaks and therefore with lots of free memory I realized this issue.)

We have to remember also that T-Mobile Hungary released a beta ROM which even Huawei themselves said has problems with SMS. The Tre ROM feels so much better and I've been running roms with that kernel since it was released with no issues.

If FLB-Tre is having problems with touchscreen, 3G etc then you probably will have to update your phone using official 2.1 tre. I wish things weren't so complicated for everyone :(

When I updated to hungarian 2.1, I've had the sms problem. I'm on FLB v1.0 now and the problem is gone. The 1.0 works so good that i'm hesitating to update to 1.2 ("if it ain't broken, don't fix it") Hungarian 2.1 > customized_hu > paul's wip > flb mod 1.0 I haven't missed a single sms since i flashed flb Edited August 1, 2010 by Fusion0306

I've never had sms problem on 1.5 versions (stock, 1.7 MCR)

Guest zenchan Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 FWIW I've never experienced the SMS problem and my usage of the phone is fairly minimalistic - I don't have widgets running or any of that sort of thing and am fairly pro-active about killing apps with task-killer. Phone history: t-mobile stock 1.5 > Hungarian 2.1 (WITHOUT the additional HU-Update) > FLB 1.0
