Quick question: Rooting+R6 ROM = a network unlock?

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question. My phone is unbranded so it does not affect me, but a friend wants to unlock her phone. It's on Orange at the moment. Will running Unrevoked and installing the R6 ROM unlock the phone?

No. To the best of my knowledge it won't.

There are a few services that offer unlock codes though, and they shouldn't cost the earth.
