Have to use speakerphone when making calls after 2.1

Hi,

Apologies if I have made a stupid mistake and switched something off, but since I applied the 'official' 2.1 update (which was easy thanks to your excellent guides) whenever I make a call I have to have the phone in speaker mode!

If I don't have the speaker switched on, then I can't hear any ring-tone and if the call is answered then I can't hear anything unless I once again enable speaker mode!

Have I got a faulty phone and if it may be this, then is there a way to put it back to 1.5 so that I can take it back for repair ?

I recommend you to go back to 1.5 using Time Machine (you will find it in this forum, just search), then flash 1.5 dec update to see if it works.

i have had exactly the same problem ever since i first upgraded to 2.1, so far i have found no way of fixing the normal speaker, (i have tried loads of different roms, reverted to 1.5, etc)

i solved it by buying a cheap blue tooth earpiece to use instead.

I'm guessing that you mean I get the 'downgrade' ROM that's mentioned in the 'Ultimate Pulse Guide' on this forum, flash that and then apply the 'December' update ?
