Guest Speckles Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 One thing that is becoming more and more annoying to me is the automatic rotation. It happens at the most annoying times, usually when I'm about to press a button and I end up pressing the wrong one because everything moves around. I know I can disable it completely, but then the web browser and several other apps become almost unusable. What I'm after is a manual way of doing it. Eg, press the camera button (which I never use) to rotate.

Interesting idea :( Although this doesn't answer your question but any custom rom based off the Tre (FLB 1.2) has a fixed "less sensitive" auto rotate. But I can see why you would want this, if the phone was a little faster at actually rotating then perhaps it would be fine :(
Guest Speckles Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 I've looked in the market and there are indeed application to handle the rotation manually. I just need to figure out how to launch one of these apps when I press the camera button. Perhaps I can rename the camera application and rename the rotation app to the camera :(

It may allow you to add a custom one :(
Guest Speckles Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 If its the one I've just looked at, it's commercial, which means I need to pay for it to find out if it offers that feature :(
