Broken wi-fi after update WITH unlocked

I know similar issues have been covered already but I thought I was safe doing an OTA update on my debranded Orange phone because I'd already unlocked it. No root though.

However, I now have no wi-fi. I've tried running the equivalent RUU utility from shipped-roms but I get a error about invalid customer ID or something.

So where do I go from here? How can I get my wi-fi back and be in good shape to receive the 2.2 update when it comes and minute?
