USSD-commands failing during 3G data connections

Hello world!

I've noticed that if I run a USSD command on my Pulse (running the Swedish Android 2.1 ROM from Three) during a 3G data connection, it always fails saying "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."

USSD-commands are those codes starting with * and ending with #, that are used e.g. to check credit for prepaid SIMs (e.g. *#10# on O2 UK).

Since the problem could be related to Android as well as to my operator, I'd like to ask you guys if you have experienced any problems running USSD commands during 3G data connections. Please state the ROM you're running and make sure you are on 3G if you answer.
