Using RomManager after rooting with Unrevoked

Hello!

I'm new here so I hope this are is safe to ask my question. I tried searching for an answer but I couldn't find one.

Anyway, basically the description already states my "problem":

I rooted my Desire with Unrevoked3 and now I installed RomManager (because it seems 'easier' to flash new Roms that way). But whatever I click in RomManager, it wants to install the ClockWork Recovery first. But I already have it due to using Unrevoked3 in first place. Now I wonder if this is normal behaviour and if I'm generally better off not using RomManager at all the way I rooted or if it's generally save to let it re-flash the recovery? Also, if I shall let RomManager take care of this, will the "new" recovery be able to restore my backup image I did when I rooted with Unrevoked?
