Guest Jfreu Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Hello there, I'm proud to introduce you my new live wallpaper : PanoPlanet Live Wallpaper ! It is based on a stereographic projection, the main goal was to generate 'little planets' from any equirectangular panorama (like these : FlickR) I added some cool stuff like the 'phone orientation' support. Check out the test video made by DroidDog :

Guest AndyHibberd Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Giving this a go, I'm impressed already if it uses 2% battery, I always thought LiveWallpapers were the batteryhogs of android. UPDATE: Love it! Out of all the things on my phone this is probably the most impressive, I was out with a group of architecture friends and set it to gyro mode and handed it around. Their faces lit up with astonishment! This is a seriously cool app and definitely creates android envy from the iphoners. I also appreciate the access to your panoramas on the beta server, very useful because you can't download them easily from the Flickr page without print screen which isn't very clean. You should create a ranking system based on downloads to filter out the ones that look good as littleplanets, the best I found so far is the Tokyo one because it has tall buildings and clean blue sky, looks incredible! Good job JFreu! Andy Edited October 16, 2010 by AndyHibberd
