missing Privacy settings in Froyo on Desire

I have just installed Froyo on my desire, watched an official video about froyo, and there is a menu point: privacy settings, where I can set up backing up and restoring. In Android 2.1 I found it, in 2.2 I cannot.

Any idea?

I am from Hungary just like hellobello and i am missing the privacy menu, too. Perhaps it is a country specific problem?

It's not on my Desire in the UK, either: I guess it's something that's been removed from 2.2

The factory data reset has been moved to the SD & Phone Storage menu (it was, IIRC under privacy previously) so it definitely looks like a change rather than something missing

Privacy menu is present here in Italy, running NexTSense v2.1b

Privacy was existent in the build version of 2.06.832.1 (the last leaked Sense and 2.2 version)

so HTC must have decided to remove somewhere in the past few weeks

some people cannot find the 'privacy' using the phones search app

if thats the case, here's what to do.

pres 'search keypad' the search engine will open, press 'menu'

tap 'search settings' then tap 'searchable items' scroll down and check 'settings'

now you can search privacy by typing 'privacy' (search under settings, click the google icon dropdown list :huh: )

I cant search under settings. It does not search nothing. Using nextsense 7.4
