02/Aug 1.03 r1 - FRITZ!App Fon English translation

I own a FRITZ!Box 7270 and I use the FRITZ!App Fon application from the Android Market (it's good).

What is slightly annoying is that it's all in German... soooo... i've translated it to english. :)

Points to note...

• This version is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with AVM
• This is version 1.03, I will aim to update the translation as the application is updated on the market
• I have contributed the translation XML files back to AVM via e-mail, so I hope we'll see English language support going forward in the market version
• If you spot any incorrect / sub optimal translations, post here and i'll update then
• This download is not signed with the AVM cert (of course), so you'll need to uninstall the current version before installing this one.

A slight problem! I cannot get it to install. Trying on the device results in an Install Failed message, and trying through ADB gets the following message:

Failure [iNSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES]

Looks like I am stuck with the German for the moment.

BTW, Paul, do you get the caller name displayed in the Fritzapp? I get the number, but it does not match with the addressbook. I am not sure if the problem is the FritzBox and the format of the Caller ID data it sends. I am in the process of installing Asterisk on my Linux server to handle VOIP - it was talking happily to the FritzBox to pass calls on the landline yesterday - and I hope that will give me more flexibility.

Beta version 1.12 seems to add English, but it's not been published to the Market yet.

Downloaded v1.31 from the Market onto my San Francisco, tried to use it with Fritzbox 7390 running beta 84.04.86-18550 international firmware.

It logs into Fritzbox OK, and I can even set up new devices on the Fritzbox, BUT it looks like it has registered the user (either by name OR by number, showing correctly which line the outgoing call will be made on) BUT just gives the error message "Registration at Fritzbox failed".

Any ideas? Is it just that the beta AVM firmware is buggy?

Update - still doesn't work with 84.04.87i.

Or something else? (I've noted that this firmware doesn't do guest networks right either :-( ).
