Format whole SD card with ext3

Hi

I just wanted to ask if i can format my whole SD card with ext3 and still use it to store my music etc. Reading the filesystem from my PC won't be a problem, i was just wondering if android will see the partition when it is formated with ext3.

I don't think this would be a good idea. I think only the FAT partition is available for general use in android. The rom needs to be modified to even read the ext partition in the first place.
