Here’s how you can run Android from a flash drive and see how fast Android can run on real hardware! http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/22665/run-a...ook-or-desktop/ Gonna try it out now. Should be lot's of fun :)
Guest Rem1x Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I did this on my EEE701 ages ago. It was awful. Beyond awful.
Guest ogiogi Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 I did this on my EEE701 ages ago. It was awful. Beyond awful. Really :D Maybe it's a newer version. Judging by the comments it was posted in July. Gonna try it anyway :)

Gonna try it anyway :) I had it installed to the SSD, it would force close all the time, freeze then die. Also, the keyboard would come up on screen when typing, which made it laggy as hell. And it was just slow. Edited August 2, 2010 by Rem1x

Guest ogiogi Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Haha. This is cool. Even ethernet works. Hmmm. Can I Theme this. :) :D :D Needs a higher res tho. 800x600 is just wrong on a 22in
Guest ogiogi Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 That was fun. It's 1.6 tho. We need FROYO :) i made some screens :D
Guest Tom G Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 That was fun. It's 1.6 tho. We need FROYO :) Expect something soon. I noticed a few days ago that the master branch over at http://android.git.kernel.org/ now has x86 in the build options. It also moves from JDK 5 to JDK 6. Intel was contributing to an x86 port, so its probably the code from that being merged into the master. I haven't tried building it yet, but maybe when I have some time I'll try to get it running in a VM.
Guest niko1986 Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 You should use a remote app or something you control android from your android phone :)
Guest Azurren Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 You should use a remote app or something you control android from your android phone :) Yeah incorporate streaming technology like OnLive :D That would sort out the pulse (And kill the battery)
Guest niko1986 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Yeah incorporate streaming technology like OnLive :) That would sort out the pulse (And kill the battery) I was meaning more like use the phone to act as a mouse or keyboard ... but yeah that would work :D Patent it now Azurren! Then when Apple or someone comes up with the idea just sue em.

Then when Apple or someone comes up with the idea just sue em. Lol :P I'm sure even if you were in the right you could never take down apple :D If in real danger they would just have you killed.. They just give you one of those exploding iPhone 3Gs's or one of the easily combustible iPhone 4s :) Death by iPhone!
