I'm not sure, kinda new to android, but is there a reason you can't just install that one? There's links to the apks, and instructions right there, if admittedly in Italian. The machine translation Chrome gave me was reasonably intelligible.

I am sure they'll be an app suggested shortly for all that T9 stuff. For me, its swype keyboard all the way !
