Guest matt.stannard Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Hi there, I have an HTC Desire on Vodafone - I think its running the 0.80 bootloader. I downloaded the 2.09.405.8-update-bravo-stock-rooted-busybox-withradio-signed.zip. I made a Gold Card and copied update.zip to it, I get into my Android System Recovery but it says: E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command I then do a factory reset and get -- Wiping data.... Formatting DATA ... Formatting CACHE ... Data wipe complete. I then apply sdcare:update.zip and get Finding update package... Opening update package... Verifying update package... E: failed to verify whole-file signature E: signature verification failed Installation aborted Where am I going wrong!?
Guest Silvake Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Let me guess. You don't have root yet, isn't it? Root first (search UnrEVOked) and only then apply the update.
