root T-Mobile branded Desire

Hi

can i just root my T-Mobile branded Desire (using unrevoked) or do i have to take special steps because its branded?

//edit: i found out i need to create a goldcard to flash the rom. Anything else i need to look out for?

If you use unrevoked you don't need a goldcard.
