Guest koudelka
Receivers and intents, its should never ever actively (have to) look for that. Yes, Most programmers have used this for many years now. And android is no different, they heavily relay on broadcasting different statuses (like screen turn on/off) to different applications that wants to know that information. Now, for the battery part, I get around 1% usage per hour. Using Set cpu and forcing it to stay in low clock when screen is of might not help battery at all, When it comes to power saving you have to consider computing time. Slower cpu speed = more computer time and that almost always equals more battery use (it is more efficient letting a task get full cpu speed and finish fast, then go into idle mode again). That being said, I dont think there should be so much that want to use the cpu while you have the device in your pocket, unless you have a lot of applications running doing things(or there might be some bug?). http://lesswatts.org/documentation/sw-silicon-features/
Guest botolo
WARNING: ROAMING IS ENABLED BY DEFAULT Please go to Settings -> wireless and network settings -> mobile networks, and uncheck Data roaming if you don't want that Yep, I noticed that :) :D The rom is very nice and smooth. I had a strange problem with Titanium (I had to reinstall busybox..), but I suppose it was due to something stupid I did :D Why setcpu was not included? Just curious.. I had a strange problem with Titanium (I had to reinstall busybox..), but I suppose it was due to something stupid I did :D Why setcpu was not included? Just curious.. Because the developer requested that his application wouldn't be included in other roms, because he wasn't getting enough credit for his work, if any at all. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419

Guest Fadeblue
The V0.5 ROm is fatanstic! But only one thing is not as good as Froyo91: Sort Order of Contacts. In Froyo91, they list by PINYIN, but in Xian's ROM, I didnot find a rule sorting my contacts. Please improve it in the next release or wish a minor update.zip

Agree, till the major showstopping bugs are resolved (im not sure if there even are any), you should stick to eclair. Personally I'm using LCR 1.8 with a custom boot and a BlueBlack theme by simoneser. And I must say that the performance is VERY nice. All the links to the above mentioned can be found in my signature, i recommend you give it a try. Best wishes =D

Guest m3allak
Has anyone had this issue?? When you're already in communication, and you receive another call (double call) nothing happens on phone, you just hear "beeps" but nothing displayed on screen, so you cannot switch from a call to another, that's a very annoying issue, and is also present on phhroyo may be it's a froyo issue on liquid, can anyone confirm this??
