(SOLVED) How to install Laucher pro plus backup in LCR 1.8

Cant install Laucher pro plus backup in LCR 1.8. Thats it, I have the backup in apk format but when i try to install it it fails. Ive tryed to use Apps Installer and file explorer but the result is always the same. Tryed to uninstall first but it seems that lAuncher pro is a system widget that only permits to uninstall updates that we made to it.

Have you tried re-downloading from the Market?

Uninstall with titanium backup, then reinstall.

Launcher Pro the free version or the paid version?

Have you tried re-downloading from the Market?

Paid one. Lost my key in a pc emergency (Had to format my drive).

Ouch. If you bought it from the market, it should be associated with your gmail account. But if you bought it elsewhere, then maybe try contacting the developer?

Failed. It says:

Cannot remove system app.

Failed to locate apk file.

Maybe try installing another launcher like ADW first and making it default then try and remove Launcer Pro in Titanium.

Hi, I'm familiar with that. Hope my experience will help you.

1. First of all, you have to switch to another launcher (set it to default) then reboot your phone.

2. Next, you use Uninstaller app to uninstall LauncherPro, then reboot. Verify that LauncherPro is uninstalled (not see in Home Switcher / Titanium Backup, etc)

3. Then you install LauncherPro Plus. If when installing, it keeps saying that it will replace a system application, you cannot install it :) But, go to market, install LauncherPro free version, then uninstall it. Now you can install LauncherPro Plus version.

To uninstall Laucnher pro, you can run the gscipt "removeLaucherPro.sh" that is provided with the rom. First you must remove the "default" association with it in Settings / Applications / press option button - filter running / then select LPro and remove defaut action
