faster Pulse

I want to ask a question that may seem silly, but I'll take my changes anyway: is there a way to make the pulse faster??

I have tried every single rom posted in this forum, since the only 1.5MCR until the latest FLB1.x and official 2.1 updates. even though I recognize the pulse got way faster on the way, I still think it could be improved further.. in the end the iphone has the same hardware (more or less) and the OS runs much smoother (I know i'll be killed for this opinion, please:-)

for instance i'm thinking that android may run some services that are not really needed by some users.. for instance I run a very naked version of android, with no installed apps and use no bluetooth: for sure there's something running that I could kill definitively...:-)

anyone here knows if there is something that we could do??
