[HELP]How to unpack boot.img?

I'm trying to upack boot.img.I followed a HOWTO at this page http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?titl...ack_Boot_Images.

I can unpack boot.img with unpack_bootimg.pl,but after I repack it with repack_bootimg.pl,it didn't seem to work.The phone freeze at the start logo.

I unpack boot.img with split_bootimg.pl,but I can't un gzip the ramdisk,it says the ramdisk is not gzip file.

Can somebody please to tell me how to do it .
