Guest NetShadow Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Hi every one, I'm long time user (reader) of this forum but this is my first post, so be gentle. I have installed official Hungarian rom then official UK rom but I need more space for apps, so I have try flb-mod 1.31 and currently r2a-ccr, both are working great but I think that apps2sd is working partially, its allowing me to install more apps then before but it’s also reducing phone memory and after installing several apps I again got memory low. Is this common or I’m mistaking something? Thanks.

The only fix is to move the cache to the SD card, but it's not recommended unless you have a fast one (Class 4 or above - I think) The one supplied with the Pulse is a Class 2 I believe, so you'll need to buy another!

The apps also installed on the SD card.
Guest DanWilson Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I your SD card is of Class 4 or higher, or you really don't care about performance, open up terminal emulator or adb shell and type in; su a2sd cachesd I'm sure thats it, but it just rebooted my phone. Maybe it's because I have the cache on the SD. I'll keep messing around, but I'm sure thats the command.

So if i buy a new card Class 4 or above and move Dalvik-Cache to SD is there any known problems that i should expect?
Guest DanWilson Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 So if i buy a new card Class 4 or above and move Dalvik-Cache to SD is there any known problems that i should expect? Not that I know of. It works fine with my Class 6 card, I think with a fast enough card, all that happens is you have more space on the phone. I see no differences.

And I think the faster the card, the faster the phone, as the NAND can only go so fast, then the SD card overtakes it. Or something like that. Meh :)
