Guest phantasmagoria Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I've cracked the little glass lens that covers the camera. I'm not sure if it's covered by my insurance policy, but even if it is i can't be bothered to go through the rigmarole of not having a phone for a week or so while it gets repaired/replaced. The lens is cracked in two, and as result the bottom half of all my photos come out blurry. Do any of you have any experience with replacing the lens? does the glass thing do anything else but protect the camera? could i just smash it out and leave the lens unprotected? is it possible to get a replacement glass circle and swap them out?
Guest Abnormal1 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 My camera lens cover cracked aswell. As a temporary measure I was able to use a small piece of round plastic to push the plastic off the cover from the inside out. Its actually only stuck on with tape. Also there are a couple of places that sell the back cover for about £15. Can not remember where at moment though.
Guest zippyioa Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Maybe this will do? http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?partner=modaco&i=199270
Guest n70er Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 i think he means the glass over the cameralens and not the plastic in backcover
