Guest Holograph Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi! I bought yesterday a T-Mobile Pulse. I was very glad with it, until I received a call. When I received the call the phone shut down, and I can't boot it. The battery was almost empty when I was called, so I put my phone in the charger, but still no luck. It just doesn't do anything. I installed the FLB Mod, anyone know what to do?

Guest Holograph Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 The screen stays black, it doesn't give any sign of life.

If that doesn't work either it seems like your Pulse just died, sorry =/ But as you received it yesterday, you should get it immediately replaced instead of having to send it off for repairs. Edit: Can you access the bootloader? Do this by pressing and holding PWR + red (end) key + Vol down You should see a blue screen then. Best regards, BB

That are good news :D So just get into the T-Mo shop of your choice and get your battery replaced. Edit: you could also try first to leave the pone plugged into the charger for a few hours. For me the phone didn't anything either for a few minutes when the battery was totally discharged. Best regards, BB
Guest ColinMCMXC Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 You could have a broken Micro USB cable, they are designed to take any stress off the socket and put it onto the cable, i had a similar problem with my phone when i bought it and assumed it had a broken usb socket, but then i did some research and found out it was the usb cable, try swapping the cables, you never know, there may still be hope for your little pulse :)
Guest Simon O Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Thank you for the tip! Turning on the device without battery solved the problem :). Thank you very much! Oh this issue. My replacement Pulse did the same thing. It seems the phone doesn't like having a completely empty battery. So remove the battery and turn the phone on and let it boot, then replace the battery. It will then start charging and should be fine once the battery has been fully charged.
