Battery Drain

My N1 eats battery like mad. Lost 30% in 2.5 hours with light usage: no calls, no wifi, gps or data. Just reading a document on the phone

I searched and tried this: drain battery completely, charge phone when switched for 8 hours straight but still the same :/

This is with stock Rom and the many of the custom Roms

What is the correct way of calibrating the battery?

My N1 eats battery on same way only with desire roms, but with rom without sense ui, is OK. Battery lives about 30 hours.

I just gave in to the inevitable and got a couple of generic spare bat's and a charger of eBay.

works a treat. one in, one on charge and a spare in my bag. only cost about £20..

Not to pimp my own stuff, but I wrote an Android Smartphone Battery Guide that can be seen here:

Extending the Battery Life of your [Android] Smartphone

I know its helped a number of people figure out how to make their battery life not suck so badly. Hope it helps!

I get better battery on sense if I go into settings > time and date > and uncheck network time.

Also after turning the phone on I go to settings > applications > manage applications > all > and I force stop the calendar storage app

Settings -> About phone -> Battery/Battery usage

Or Spare parts -> battery history -> partial wake lock

These will give you valuable information as to what is draining your battery.

Also try to wipe battery stats from recovery, so that your phone doesn't use old data to calculate battery drain (or so I understand it).
