Unlocked phone is now somehow blocking other providers than T-mobile

So I had my missus' T-mobile Pulse unlocked a couple of months ago and popped in a 3 UK contract sim card. Worked fine. Everybody was happy :D

Then a few days ago she thought she had lost the phone and called the provider (3 UK) to block it but then the phone turned up and and we called 3 UK again to get it unblocked....but....

now it says "no service. no sim card" when using the 3 UK sim card. Like wise when using a Vodafone sim. So I tried a T-mobile sim and that works. So, what do I do now? I've tried entering the APN settings for 3 UK but it doesn't make any difference. I also installed the new 2.1 official UK T-mobile ROM - was using the Hungarian one before, but that didn't help either. So, now I'm not sure what to do?

I should probably add that the 3 UK sim card works fine in another phone so it's obviously not blocked anymore, yet the phone seems to be - well locked to T-mobile anyway.

Could it be that three remotely reset the block and in effect restored the phones original sim pick settings? :D

If you can try another 3 sim.. If they did relock your phone then they should unlock it again for you.. Good pick with that :D

But it looks like your gonna have to bite the bullet here

3 do that.

Nothing else to say, there, really sucks :D

Thanks guys. I just added 2 lines at the end of that message.

3 sim works fine with the phone it came with originally - Samsung s5600.

I have also tried another 3 sim in the phone but that doesn't work either.

Have you tried unlocking the phone again (using the same code as last time)?

It's not like when I entered the code first time. This time no code is requested. The phone just boots up like normal, only difference being that I don't get any reception. Wi-fi for example, works fine.

Doing a bit of researching and I've read about "TurboSIM" and "i-SmartSim". Does anyone know whether these by-pass chips might do the job for me?

Sorry, just bumping an old topic. I got the "iSmart sim" off extremedeals but it doesn't work unfortunately. I've tried the sim in another phone (Samsung s5600) and it doesn't work there either. Just wondering if it's even worth getting a TurboSim or not?

I guess my phone is next to worthless in its current condition. :)
