Guest Rem1x Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 yeah, remember that? how slow it was? turns out it's fixed, you should try it again, it's SMOOTH. if you can deal with having less customization then ADW, it's worth checking out. (just a friendly reminder :D)
Guest Ashbeard Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 It certainly seems smoother but they really need to fix how shortcuts are added to the bottom bar. You drag one from the list of applications and then it ends up at the end of the list. You have to long click and select move left to get it where you want it. And you have to do that a lot of times if you have lots of shortcuts.
Guest Ashbeard Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Overall though it is very good because I only do that setup thing once and then I pretty much leave it as it is.
Guest Daz555 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Would be nice if you could change the position of the drawer/home button as I don't like it tucked away on the right hand side. ADW is also faster on my Pulse which is FLB v1.1 running on HU v2.1 update.
Guest triplezoney Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Have been using Zeam since I got my Pulse. I've tried all the other alternatives but always end up coming back to Zeam! Simple, easy to use, looks great. Am using an older version as recommended on here with 2.1 & runs way faster than ADW from what I've tried!
Guest niko1986 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) I recently gave Helix Launcher a try, seems fast and not too many options compared to the now bloated menus of launcherpro and to a lesser extent ADW. Also noticed ADW seems to recently have been draining my battery faster than other home replacements. Edited August 13, 2010 by niko1986
Guest darkdevil1 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Your suggestion made me try it, and damn, am I glad I did! Seems a lot lighter than adw and does all I want it to
Guest D-D- Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Sorry for diging this up but I was wondering if there is flashable version of this launcher?
Guest whackster Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Sorry for diging this up but I was wondering if there is flashable version of this launcher? It's not set to act as a system launcher, so there would be no gain for you to flash it. If you want you can just copy it to /system/app/ and overwrite Launcher.apk.
Guest jonathonf Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 Why not just download it from the Market? You can use Home Switcher to switch between launchers.
Guest D-D- Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 I know that, but when making it the default with homeswitcher, after kicking it from the memory, sometimes the adw/stock/launcherpro comes back and then it goes back to zeam. So I was wondering if there was a way to delete the other launcher that is default with instaling and make this one as the ONLY launcher.

Sorry for digging this up *again* but I am actually also wondering this. Did you find a way? Replacing the Launcher.apk in system/app still results in ADW process running in the background Edited September 17, 2010 by darkdevil1
Guest eckengucker1 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 use an autostart block app
Guest D-D- Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Sorry for digging this up *again* but I am actually also wondering this. Did you find a way? Replacing the Launcher.apk in system/app still results in ADW process running in the background I've asked on the developers page and they said that it's only installable from the market and there is no system version. So, until then, I'll be using ADW the newest version cause it's kinda lighter than all of the other launchers. I have no problems at all...
Guest darkdevil1 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 use an autostart block app I'll have a look, thanks. Any specific recommendations:?
Guest peelie Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 nice basic laucnher which seems to improve battery duration  can anyone else confirm with some numbers?
