Guest timbomfg Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 So.... I actually quite dislike the stock UI in comparison to the vanilla 1.6 UI i've experience with the Android SDK Emulator. Is there no way to restore the Google OEM UI and kill off the dell home-screen. I've played with some of the alternatives, but nothing really took my fancy. Would it not be something along the lines of replacing files with root access? I apologies if this has been covered or its a nooby question, i'm very new to Android, and it was pretty much the streak that sold me on getting into it.

Well you could probably install a custom framework and find an apk of the stock launcher. Otherwise, I really don't know..
Guest MrPokeylope Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 Just use ADW. I like having my streak in landscape. But normal android would prefer portrait. Dell have ZERO talent in skinning. The streak is hilariously bad looking normally. ADW is niceeee though. Can't wait for some purdy video backgrounds though.
