Can you remove pre-installed apps like Layar with root rights?

Hello,

iam new in this topic and want to know if you have root rights you are able to remove pre-installed apps like Layar.

And another question: If i have remove this app how can i get back to factory settings?

Well, you can delete the apk files in /system/app but certain apps you won't get back. So the safe thing to do is to copy them to your SD card and then delete them, that way you have a backup, just in case.

Not sure I understand the question, but if you're using one of the ROMs from LG, then some of the "tweaked" operator ones do add additional crap. Even the "plain" ones that we've found come with some junk. Also, certain apps aren't re-installed if you remove them and then flash the phone with a different ROM, so make sure you back up anything you might consider using.
