Guest Warpedflash Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 (edited) I have been having problems with 2.1 so i decided to wipe my phone and start again... I tried to flash clockwork recovery but after i flashed it when I tried to enter recovery (vol+power and select update from .pkg) I just get a black screen with the back light on... So I plugged my phone back in to my pc and decided i would reflash the stock recovery. When i did this i used adb to wipe my system/cache partitions as I could not do it with clockwork. I then reflashed the original recovery mode to be greeted with the same thing! black screen when I try to enter recovery... Any Ideas? I can still get to the fast boot screen but dont rely know what to do :S Right how i sorted this out was to boot my streak into fastboot mode. then from my PC i used ABD to erase the system/recovery partitions i Then used the system image found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753699 and the recovery image found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...935#post7667935 Both of which will only work on baseband 21 model streaks (o2 contract). Flash the new image files then reboot the phone. hopefully you will then get a working streak! the first boot took about 2-5 mins n my phone but boy was i glad when the o2 logo showed up! Hope this helps some people Edited August 15, 2010 by Warpedflash
Guest craigdabbs Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 did you find a solution warped?
Guest Warpedflash Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 did you find a solution warped? In the end i managed to get help off a couple of people in teh irc channel. It involved flashing a specific 2.1 system image and and boot images from fastboot. there were a few of us in the channel having problems and this only worked for me but the otehr got help in there as well. the irc channel is a good place to look.
