Guest 1Geeky Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Hi, About huawei u8230 ; It has Android 1.5. So : 1. May it Upgrade to latest Android Version (2.2) and similar version will come later ? 2. What about Custom ROMs for this Device? (cuz we need Arabic support) Any Answer will be so Appreciated :D
Guest jrodrigues Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Everything that works for Pulse (Huawei 8220) will work for the Huawei 8230 (known in Portugal as "TMN a1"). You will find all the updates you need here: http://android.modaco.com/category/413/t-m...lse-modaco-com/ I recommend an upgrade to the Swiss 2.1 ROM (the Portuguese one works as well) and then an upgrade to the FLB ROM (the latest version of course. It's great!) Have fun!

And the second question that is the FLB ROM based on Froyo? If not so why should I upgrade a 2.1 ROM to another 2.1 one ? Regards... Edited August 24, 2010 by 1Geeky
Guest jrodrigues Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Quite honestly I have no clue about the arabic support... There is still no Froyo ROM for this device. Unfortunately. About the advantages of one ROM over the other, It's basically a matter of taste I suppose. Here in Portugal, the phone came with a bunch of apps I did not want or need. They took up space and made the phone slow. I use FLB now and it is much better. It is lighter and faster. And the apps that come built into it are the ones I (and most users) do need. But again... It's a matter of taste.

Guest aki71 Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 What do you mean when you say "unlocked"? means that "works with any SIMs or just T-mobile?"
Guest Casterina Posted April 25, 2011 Report Posted April 25, 2011 means that "works with any SIMs or just T-mobile?" It works with any SIM.
Guest Biti Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 It works with any SIM. None of that ROMs works with my vodafone SIM :(
Guest rangeoshun Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 None of that ROMs works with my vodafone SIM :( Is there any rom working, the original for example? Your phone might be SIM locked, in that case get an unlock code.
