Guest BejhanJ Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 I just got an Acer Liquid E and read that a problem with Android is that too many processes run at startup causing short battery life. So I rooted my phone and installed a Startup Manager application. However, I'm not sure which applications are vital at startup and which would be safe to disable. Could someone advise? Here's my current list: Dialer Android System Download Manager Contacts Calendar Storage GMail Storage Update Notification SIM Toolkit Bluetooth Share Java ME Apps Java ME Apps Google Partner Setup Tasks Messaging Messaging Calendar Network Location Clock Media Server Email Email Media Storage Media Storage nemoPlayer (already disabled) Sync Feeds (already disabled) Documents To Go (already disabled) Google Talk Service (already disabled) Acer Sync (already disabled) Voice Dialer (already disabled) AcerClockWidget (already disabled) Some of these entries appear twice, I'm not sure if this is just because of the Startup Manager application I am using or if there is two processes starting for the same application.
