Help with my Hero as its on 1.5

I have got a 2nd hand hero and its running on 1.5 firmware and want to update to 2.1 so can someone please help me on how to do it please.

It has a old version of Marketplace on it as well.

Its unlocked and unbranded so please can someone help me with this please as i am getting very stressed with it.

if you are rooted so download modaco 2.1 rom from this forum. put it on your sd card.

turn off your device. turn it on with the home+power button, untill the green lines appear and than do NANDROID BACK UP. wipe factory reset and delvik-cache. and flash zip from sd card.

if you are not rooted follow the guides in the site or in the unlockr.

but please wait to see if someone confirmes what i have wrote. since i dont want to write a mistake.
